The Moody Blue Devils beat the Springville Tigers 3-2 last week.

Tyler Hamby had a double in the first inning and Michael Nichols hit a homerun. Springville tied the ball game in the second inning. The scored remained tied until the fifth inning when Justin Cook scored on a wild pitch. Nathan Clowdus pitched five innings, picking up his first win of the season and Michael Nichols saved the game.

Moody 1, Oak Mountain 9

On the night cap that evening, the Blue Devils lost to Oak Mountain 9 - 1.

“We could not get the bats going with runners on scoring position plus we left 12 men on base,” Coach Raphael Greaux said. Austyn Graff had two singles in that game. Their record is now 1-4 as they prepare for the county tournament this weekend at Ragland and the Spring Break Tournament at Rickwood Field next week.
