St. Clair County’s Junior Miss Scholarship Program is readying for the Fifth Annual “Teaming Up for Scholarships” Celebrity Waiter Dinner fundraiser.

The dinner will be held Monday, August 3, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at St. Clair County High School located on Highway 411 in Odenville.

The mission of America’s Junior Miss (AJM) is to empower outstanding high school women by providing scholarship opportunities, developing life skills, encouraging positive values, and to impact the lives of all young people through the Be Your Best Self outreach program.

Event organizers describe the evening as, “A fun, casual, family-oriented dinner where you can come and go as you please.”

The dinner will be catered by Bowling’s Barbeque and the cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under.

The Celebrity Waiter Dinner fundraiser is designed to raise money for the local program with a goal of awarding more than $25,000 in college scholarships to winners.

There are 12 young ladies participating in the St. Clair County Junior Miss Program that will be held August 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Springville Middle School Auditorium.

The participants are Lauren Allen, Noelle Gunn, Anna Powell, Briana Mays, Tiffany Evans, Amanda McDaniel, Milea Hanner, Hannah Jaudon, Kara Weber, Miranda Millsaps, Re’Chelle Turner and Cassie Sanders.
