Boy Scout Troop 124 of Clay, Alabama constructed and donated a “Blessing Box” at the Springville Library led by Scout Isaiah Mix for his Eagle Scout Project.

A train car derailed on May 12 in Springville on the Spur behind City Hall causing a temporary power outage in the area. Delays were minor and no injuries were reported.

Staff at Springville High School held a caps and gowns drive-thru delivery service on May 14 for the Seniors in preparation for their Graduation Ceremony and Seniors were honored with signs posted on Main Street.

Springville Elementary Principal, Gregory Moore, Vice-Principal, Chris Hill Guidance Counselors Shannon Higgins and Tami Spires, and the Springville PTO honored teachers with lunch and yard signs to show appreciation for their hard work on May 8th who are quarantined due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
