The Springville High School (SHS) Varsity Wrestling Team competed in the Thanksgiving Tournament at Hayden High School on Nov. 26 - 28.
SHS Key Club and Beta Club members collected 192 stuffed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child to serve others for the Holidays.

City Parks and Recreation Coordinator, Ashley Hay, secured a $50,000 grant by Gametime to purchase new playground equipment and the grant was matched by the City of Springville for $62,000 for Big Springs Park. The grant will be used to upgrade the playground area, add new play equipment and shade sails will be added to play structures.

Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course, which is open to the public. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work and piloting skills.
