Hilltop Farms in Argo brought the Pumpkin Patch to Springville Elementary Kindergarten students on Oct. 30th with dozens of donated pumpkins.

Springville Elementary School student Ben Ludwig designed the winning art for Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is designed to encourage students to say, “No!” to drugs.

Future Police Officer, Moses Smith, was excited to pose with Springville Police Officer, Michael Long on Oct. 27th. Future Officer Smith loved seeing a real police car.

Springville Senior, Michael Sullens, has been offered and accepted a full ride scholarship to Mississippi State University. Michael is a Field Captain and Saxophone Section Leader for the SHS Marching Tiger Band.

Acheron read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. To participate in this program at the Springville Public Library, request a registration packet with your next curbside pickup or library appointment.

The Springville Library now offers Small Group Preschool Storytime at the library on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 12:00. Attendance will be limited, so be sure to reserve your space now. Stories will be the same on both days. Children will receive bagged take-home crafts. Snacks will not be provided at this time.

Masks are required for adults and children over six with social distancing. Call the annex at 205-467-7261 to register.

Springville Parks and Recreation

Springville Library

The Springville Public Library is now open to the public by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9a.m.-12 p.m. Curbside Service remains available, Monday-Friday, 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Springville Library will also continue to provide "Mystery Bags" for patrons upon request. Call to make an appointment for browsing, limited computer usage, or curbside pickup. Main Building Appointments: 467-2339, Children’s Annex Appointments: 467-7261. Copy/fax services, activity room, and meeting spaces are not available. Please return all items to book drops outside. Springville Senior Center

The Springville Senior Center will be closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic until further notice.

Springville Preservation Society

The Springville Preservation Society is taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings.
