The Springville High School Wrestling Team competed against Ashville High School Wrestling team on January 18.

The SHS Tiger Marching Band performed in Governor Kay Ivey’s Inaugural Parade in Montgomery at the Alabama State Capitol on January 14.

Springville Middle School will host a Prom Dress Consignment Sale on January 25 and 26. 

The Springville Public Library read "The Mitten" with storyteller Mrs. Shallon for Preschool Storytime this week and did a craft. The Springville Public Library hosts Preschool Storytime every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. 

The American Girl Club talked about Grace this for their monthly meeting on January 15, a girl of today who loves to bake. Club members made a recipe box and various doll-sized foods from clay and felt.

Kindergarten Roundup will be the morning of March 21 at SES. This is an opportunity for upcoming kindergartners and their parents to meet the teachers and staff at SES. Details will be coming soon.

Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course, which is open to the public. The course includes two hour classroom training and two hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members.
