Springville High School Principal, Mr. Gregory Moore and Assistant Principal, Jeff Smith recognized the SHS 2020/2021 Support Staff Employee of the Year, Mrs. Nanette Hill, Springville High’s first Nationally Board-Certified Teacher, Mrs. Amy Box and Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Cynthia Higdon on January 8th.

Local author Irene Latham served on a national children's book award committee for which publishers sent hundreds of 2020 books to be read and considered for the prize. She was able to "pay it forward" by donating 150-200 of those picture books, chapter books and novels to the Springville Public Library. Two Springville Middle School students were selected to be displayed at the State Superintendent Visual Art Exhibition this Year, Congratulations to Clara Self, Waterfall / 6th Grade & Laney Thompson, The Lion / 8th Grade. These students were chosen out of 100 entries from all over the county.

Due to rising Covid-19 cases, the Springville Public Library and other city offices have temporarily closed all lobbies to in-person visitors.

The library will continue to provide curbside pickup every weekday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Request your items online or by phone (205-467-2339). Unsure what to request? Ask for a mystery bag.

The Springville Preservation Society is taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings.
