A ribbon cutting was held on Saturday, Sept. 7 to welcome Peppy's Feed & Seed Supply to Steele. Owners Scott and Candy Dean are excited to start a new venture in Steele.

All types of livestock and wildlife feed are in stock and if they don't have what you need, Scott will order it and have it for you in a few days. A variety of equine items are carried as well as hunting supplies.

Numerous varieties of seed are waiting to be planted in St Clair County. They also have blooming mums for fall decorating and planting. When you visit the store, check out the hand-made mini-wishing wells and other items repurposed from pallets by a local craftsman.

Peppy, a Blue Heeler and the store's namesake, was on hand to welcome guests and customers to the event. She was happy with those who played "toss the ball.” They also have two adorable kittens to keep you entertained while shopping.

Scott and Candy won over the guests with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers as well as door prizes.

Mayor Roger Adams said, “I am looking forward to having a new business in town that will be of great benefit to the Steele residents.”
