Matthew Richardson has been selected as one of seven recipients of $1,000 scholarships from the Alabama Sports Festival. The awards were presented during the Alabama State Games earlier this summer. Matthew was selected from a field of nearly 3,500 participants. The 11-year-old student athlete plays soccer for the Pell City Pumas and is set to begin seventh grade at Duran South. He is the son of Ryan Richardson and Faye Richardson and the younger brother of Jesse Ecker and Jordan Richardson.
