Lady Panthers at Hillcrest Classic
Pell City — The Pell City Lady Panthers participated in the Hillcrest Classic Tournament in Tuscaloosa Friday and Saturday. The Panthers went 4-1 with big wins over Gulf Shores, Hoover, Cullman and Northside. Pell City’s record improves to 8-4 for the season. Lexi Lawley (9-11, 4 home runs) and Brittany Gillison (7-10) led the way at the plate for the Panthers. Lawley was named to the All-Tournament team. Pell City pitcher Alli Hall goes 3-1 for the weekend with Ashley Reed picking up the win against Cullman. Pell City was eliminated by Sparkman who is the 2009 6A state champion. Pell City travels to Decatur this Friday and Saturday.
