Moody — Last week the city of Moody agreed to go forward with streamlining its wrecker contract.

In the past towing services have been on a rotating call list. When a wreck happens or a vehicle needs to be taken off a road, whichever wrecker service was on call got the job

Last week Police Chief Bobby Breed told city leaders that he recommends bidding out the service and have one, dedicated towing company handle all of Moody’s jobs.

The city agreed and Chief Breed said he would notify all local wrecking/towing companies.

The new policy will go into effect after the bids have been advertized, city attorney Bill Weathington said.
