Pell City’s first Hall of Fame next weekend

Pell City — The inaugural class of the Pell City Hall of Fame will be honored this month during a banquet at the Civic Center.

Set for Friday, March 22, the event will recognize Pell City’s notable residents and natives whose accomplishments in music, art, media, sports, and military reflect back on their hometown.

Among this year’s honorees are Jeanne Pruett, Mary and Ginger Holladay, Todd Jones, Adm. Dennis Brooks, Wayne Spradley, John Lornegan, Susan Coleman, Nell Riser, Wally Burnham, Robert Wayne Skelton, and David Gullege.

“For a little old town this size to have so many people like this call it home is really a plus,” Pell City Mayor Joe Funderburg.

Tickets are $10 each and are available at local Metro Bank, Union State Bank, Regions Bank, and Alabama Power Co. locations.
