Batemon re-elected to NACo Board of Directors

Washoe County, Nevada — St. Clair County Commission Chairman Stan Batemon was re-elected to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Board of Directors during the association’s Annual Conference in Washoe County, Nev. last month.

Members of the NACo Board of Directors manage the business and property of the association; determine NACo’s mission as identified by the members; monitor NACo’s success in fulfilling its mission, and ensure that NACo continues to fulfill its mission.  All 67 counties in Alabama and over 2300 counties nationwide are members of NACo.

Batemon is serving his 5th term on the NACo Board of Directors and serves on the Energy, Environment and Land Use Committee.

“I am pleased to have been elected by NACo members to serve on the association’s Board of Directors,” Batemon said. “NACo is the only national organization which represents the interests of county government and I look forward to doing my part in ensuring that the voice of America’s counties is heard loud and clear in Washington, D.C.  I am proud to keep St. Clair County strong by serving on the national level to keep our County out in front of our national leaders.”
