The Lady Purple Devils took apart Lincoln 75-31 last Thursday at home in preparation for the area tournament which is being held in Ragland this week.
The leading scorers for Ragland were Emily Church with 17 points, Paige Gann with 14, Lauren Wright with nine, JJ Looney with eight and Leah Byers and Reagan Campbell with six apiece.
“Everyone scored tonight and that’s what we wanted to do, get everyone playing time,” Ragland coach Rush Rutledge said after the win.
Ragland plays Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. tonight. A win will place the Lady Purple Devils in the area tournament final Saturday at 6 p.m.

Ragland handed Coosa Christian a crushing 75-14 loss last week. The Lady Purple Devils had six players in double figures. Gann scored 15 points, Church had 13, Looney had 13, Madison Oliver scored 11 and Kailey Echols chipped in 11.

The Ohatchee Indians topped Ragland 64-52. Gann led the Lady Purple Devils with 14 points and Campbell added 12.
