Lady Bulldogs Look To Continue Run Against Saks Tonight
Ashville — The Lady Bulldogs played their controlling style and won the Class 4A Area 10 tournament 45-40 with a win over Locust Fork Saturday night in Ashville.
The game was tied at 26-26 with 2:20 left in the third quarter and the Lady Bulldogs trailed 34-31 at the end of three.
Ashville junior Jacie Tipton caught fire in the final quarter and hit three treys in a row to give the Lady Bulldogs a 42-37 edge with three minutes in the game and set Ashville up for the win.
Tipton led Ashville with 15 points, Kim Fuller added ten and Destiny Montgomery chipped in six.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Saks tonight at 7 p.m. in a Northeast Sub-Regional game.
