Moody — Four men are charged with felony murder following a Thursday evening home invasion in Brompton.
Five men were armed with baseball bats when they entered a mobile home in the Trails End community just before midnight Thursday. One was shot and killed by the resident.
The resident of the home was assaulted, but managed to shoot and kill Robert Joseph Denton, 19, of Moody.
The four other men, who are charged with felony murder, are: 20-year-old Nicholas Bell and 19-year-old Mark Lyle Massey, both of Trussville; 18-year-old Richard Allen Holloway and 21-year-old Duel Wayne Pope, who are both from Leeds.
The person who lived at the home sustained non-life threatening injuries. Their name has not yet been released
Massey was captured a half hour after the shooting at the Brompton Chevron. Holloway was arrested Friday afternoon at a Birmingham motel. Pope and Bell were apprehended late Friday afternoon in Moody.
